the Barkery because we could not find specialty
dog cookies that were healthy, flavorful, free of
preservatives, and affordable. Our four large dogs
love a good cookie (or two, or three, or five...), and
with one of our dogs undergoing chemotherapy for
Lymphoma, we wanted to ensure that their treats
are as healthy as possible. The only way to be sure
was to make them ourselves.
Since there are no preservatives, cookies should be
stored in the freezer for long term storage. But, who
are we kidding --- these cookies are so good they
won't be around long!
We produce our specialty dog treats in a wide
variety of flavors and four sizes; perfect for a
Dachshund or a Great Dane! The flavors are all
unique recipes, using natural, organic and healthy
ingredients and each order is shipped oven-fresh.
No cookies are pre-made, they are made the day
that you order them.
In addition to cookies by the dozen, we also offer a
Cookie of the Month Club, where each flavor is
available in a unique shape for that month only. The
Cookie of the Month Club is an excellent treat for
your favorite dog, or can be purchased as a gift
subscription for another.
The original motivation for us to begin making
home-made dog cookies was when our Black Lab,
Alexandra, was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After
we adjusted to this devastating news, we did two
things. First, we found a veterinary specialist who
could help our girl, and second we began looking at
her diet. We found that a healthy diet truly makes a
healthy dog, and cut out all the low-quality,
mass-produced dog treats we had been giving her.
We began the search for the healthy, flavorful,
preservative free, and affordable cookies. Since we
could not find a cookie with all those characteristics,
we decided to make our own.
And the rest is history..........."woof woof"
